I had actually never read Antigone until this point, although the story was familiar of course. Antigone, the titular character, goes against her uncle the King’s wishes and buries her brother who died in rebellion. It is a very strong tragedy about doing what is right (in Antigone’s case) or not doing that (for the King).
It being Greek tragedy, there are certain aspects in the style which might take a little getting used to, but I adapted quickly and it didn’t bother me.

Yes, indeed. I think the conflict in many tragedies could have been averted if the people had been less stubborn…
