Review:

Tookey's Talkies: 144 Great Films From the Last 25 Years - Christopher Tookey

I like to watch movies. That also means that I’m always looking for new or old movies to watch. And that’s basically what I thought this book could help me with.

I admit I didn’t read all reviews completely, as I was most interested in either finding new movies to add to the ever growing watchlist (it is almost as bad as with the TBR) or to read a review of a movie I’d seen (and usually enjoyed as well).

I liked it. The reviews really sparked my interest in a lot of movies, some of which I plan to watch soon. It would seem our opinion on movies often overlaps, so I’m really curious about these new ones. Although this is not a book to read in one go, it was a nice read and I would recommend it to people who would also like to find some new movies to watch.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

The author

After a day of work, Marjolein likes to wind down with a book or two, or five! Unapologetic reader of at the very least three books at any given time, she apparently is unable to settle on a favorite genre.

She might pause her audiobook just long enough to discuss books online.
