Rating: 3 out of 5.

Herding Cats is Sarah Andersen’s third volume of Sarah’s Scribbles, a collection of webcomics. I enjoyed reading the first two a lot so I was looking forward to this one a lot.

The comics are still nice, but I felt that maybe they were getting a little bit repetitive at this point. While relatable, a certain point can only be made so many times. This edition however also included some writing on writing (for the internet in particular). That was a nice addition.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free electronic copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

  1. I have found that a lot of web comics/novel/serials/whatevers, are definitely meant to be taken in small doses. Their very nature is almost antithetical to being a good novel/book.

    1. For me, it can work when I need something quick to read or I just want to have a relaxed moment – and it will always be something different from a novel but I can still enjoy it. However, I find that as series progress (be it novels or comics or whatever) that it is often difficult for them to still feel fresh and not the same thing over and over…

The author

After a day of work, Marjolein likes to wind down with a book or two, or five! Unapologetic reader of at the very least three books at any given time, she apparently is unable to settle on a favorite genre.

She might pause her audiobook just long enough to discuss books online.
