I couldn’t read this without hearing the song from Horrible Histories. Either way this was a very interesting read. I have read some Plato before for school, but never his more famous work on Socrates. Here he really tries to keep the style rather simple – for he is accused of bedazzling the audience with mighty words – while he makes a case for truth and knowledge.

It is impossible to read about certain topics without Horrible Histories songs popping into my head.

Absolutely. Just yesterday I saw a trailer for the new David Copperfield movie (I haven’t read the book) and ever since I have been stuck with the Charles Dickens song in my head.
“And David Copperfield working in a factory, I must admit that that was really me-e-e-e-e-e-e”

Thank you for sharing this! I’d never heard of the Horrible History song, but I have a feeling I’ll be binging some of their youtube videos now. ❤️🐝

Perfect! Their songs are amazing. They have a couple which are really, really great. I find it difficult to really have a favorite, but the Charles Darwin Evolution song set to David Bowie’s Changes is certainly one of them! Enjoy!
