Rating: 2 out of 5.

Was it real? Was it all in his head? Or maybe in his green tea?

A typical Victorian horror story where a clergyman drink green tea and starts seeing things that aren’t really there. I found that nothing actually happened here, so I was left feeling rather disappointed. Le Fanu is not someone I would go look for more books from. Green Tea was plenty.

  1. The author’s name sounds familiar but I can’t place where I’ve heard it. I should probably go google it…

    1. He apparently wrote Carmilla (or something like that), which is one of the vampire stories before Dracula?

    1. Thank you so much! Not everything is entirely new. The Little Black Classics, for example, I read over the course of five years, and now that I have finished them, I want all the review in one place.

The rest of the reviews are mainly new, but sometimes I also add old ones from the old blog, since I like to see the reviews of one series all in one place. πŸ˜€

The author

After a day of work, Marjolein likes to wind down with a book or two, or five! Unapologetic reader of at the very least three books at any given time, she apparently is unable to settle on a favorite genre.

She might pause her audiobook just long enough to discuss books online.
