Goodreads Monday #5

It has been another crazy week! Luckily, I was able to leave quarantine of Thursday, but with the new Corona rules I still can basically just go to work – at least I can go outside again. Work is also very busy, and my concentration is only slowly returning. Construction work is still ongoing, at least I now know that they will only come to finish the windows next week.

For reading still not a lot. I went looking through the TBR looking for some fun read and that is how I came to today’s choice. I read the first two books earlier this year and I really, really enjoyed them. Murderbot is easily my favorite character of the year! I hope I’ll climb out of that slump soon and get to read Rogue Protocol (which oddly sounds like a Mission Impossible movie).

SciFi’s favorite antisocial A.I. is again on a mission. The case against the too-big-to-fail GrayCris Corporation is floundering, and more importantly, authorities are beginning to ask more questions about where Dr. Mensah’s SecUnit is.

And Murderbot would rather those questions went away. For good.

Have you read the Murderbot series? What are you excited to read next? – Please let me know in the comments!

  1. I’m glad you can go outside again. Even if it is just to work and back.

I’m intrigued by the Murderbot series but have not read them, yet. I might adding the first one to my “Sci-Fi Trial” January.
Is the first one a good one to start with or are there any novellas in the series that might give me a good understanding of the world so I can make up my mind whether to read more?

    1. Yes, it so nice to be outside again 🙂

So far, there’s four novellas and the fifth book is longer. I have only read the first two, but so far I think the first one, All Systems Red, would be a good point to start the series. Hope you will enjoy them, should you give it a try in January!

No, I haven’t. But, I keep seeing it, so maybe I should?

Well, I just won a rafflecopter giveaway for “The Woern Saga”, a two book indie fantasy series, signed. 😀
